Disability Solutions West Midlands – Annual General Meeting 2024

27th November 2024

Celebrating Our Achievements

AGM Main Room

Our Annual General Meeting was an opportunity to reflect on the past year, share our progress with members and stakeholders, and celebrate the extraordinary work of our dedicated staff and volunteers. We also recognised the positive difference our services have made to the lives of the people and communities we support.

This year, we were honoured to welcome several distinguished guests:

  • The High Sheriff of Staffordshire – Mrs Julia Mitchell
  • The Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent – Councillor Lyn Sharpe
  • Deputy Mayor of Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council – Councillor Robert Betley-Smith

The High Sheriff delivered an insightful and engaging talk, outlining the long history of the role — which stretches back over a thousand years — and highlighting its modern-day ceremonial purpose. She spoke about supporting positive change, celebrating the people of Staffordshire, and recognising our county’s unique heritage and strengths.

The AGM also included a presentation of the annual report, delivered by Alice Dair, Chair of the Board of Trustees, and Mandy Rollins, Chief Executive Officer. Our financial overview was presented by Carl France of Geens Chartered Accountants.

We were delighted to see The High Sheriff, Mrs Julia Mitchell, present certificates to our volunteers and supporters. Their contributions help us deliver high-quality, impactful services that strengthen our community and improve lives.
