Disability Solutions West Midlands AGM
27th November 2024
Celebrating our achievements.
Our Annual General Meeting was an opportunity for our charity to take stock of what we have achieved in the previous year and to report to our members and other stakeholders, but it was also an opportunity for us to celebrate the work of our amazing team of staff and volunteers and the positive outcomes they have achieved for our service users.
This year we were honoured to be joined by The High Sheriff of Staffordshire – Mrs Julia Mitchell, The Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent – Councillor Lyn Sharpe and the Deputy Mayor of Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council – Councillor Robert Betley-Smith.
The High Sheriff gave a brief but very interesting talk about the history of the office, beginning over 1000 years ago when the Sheriff held enormous legal and financial powers on behalf of the Crown. Today, this voluntary role is more ceremonial, and the Sheriff works to instigate and support positive change and to promote the County, it’s wonderful people and its unique character.
Alice Dair, Chair of the Board of Trustees and Mandy Rollins Chief Executive Officer of Disability Solutions West Midlands, presented their annual report to delegates. Disability Solutions’ financial statements were presented by Carl France, Geens Chartered Accountants.
The High Sheriff, Mrs Julia Mitchell presented certificates to the volunteers and supporters of Disability Solutions, whose fabulous support helps us to deliver an excellent service for our community.
